When deciding on the name for their store, Tabitha and Matthew Kidman looked to scripture as a source of inspiration - Acts 9:36-42, specifically. These few short verses tell the story of another Tabitha, from the town of Joppa, who was resurrected by St. Peter in a miraculous turn of events. Upon her revival, Tabitha’s tale spread throughout the region, as people revelled in the beauty and mercy of the Lord and came to believe in Him. As we take our name from Tabitha’s home, House of Joppa aspires to a similar goal.
